How to Get to Marina Smir: Airports, Ferry and Road

Tangier Ibn Battouta airport has the most flights from France, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands. Allow around one hour thirty by road to Marina Smir, via the motorway then the coast.

Tétouan Sania Ramel airport is much closer, around thirty minutes from the apartment, but has fewer flights. It’s worth comparing both before booking.

From Algeciras, there are two options. The ferry to Tanger Med, followed by around forty-five minutes on the road to Marina Smir. Or the ferry to Ceuta, then crossing the border on foot or by car and around twenty minutes along the coastal road.

With a car, Tanger Med is generally the simplest. Without a car, crossing via Ceuta and then a taxi on the Moroccan side works well outside the busiest summer weekends.

From Tangier, the motorway leads to Tétouan then the coast; from Tétouan, the road follows the sea through M’diq and Cabo Negro to Marina Smir. The complex has on-site parking, which makes arrival straightforward.
